Chiara Mazzoletti

Chiara Mazzoletti is a PhD student at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, working inside the ERC ‘Soundspace’ project. She completed her Bachelor (2019) and Master (2021) degree in Musicology at the Università degli Studi of Pavia-Cremona, both cum laude, and she is completing a second-level Master in Gregorian Chant at the Scuola Universitaria della Svizzera Italiana (Lugano). She also studied at the University of Southampton as a visiting student (2020) and took a Piano diploma at the Conservatorio G. Nicolini of Piacenza (2022).
She has participated in international and national conferences and seminars, such as the AISCGre Internacional Congress, the International Medieval Meeting in Lleida, the MedyRen Congress and the International Congress “Sicut in coelo, et in terra” organized by the Centro Studi Opera Omnia Luigi Boccherini and the Italian Institute for Applied Musicology. She has published her research in journals such as Vox Antiqua, Archivio Storico Lodigiano and Universidad the Salamanca.
Between 2020 and 2021 she worked for the Centro di Eccellenza Europeo Laurence K. J. Feininger and the Biblioteca del Castello del Buonconsiglio in Trento, for the creation of a Kyriales database; she was a tutor of Musical Philology and Musical Analysis in the Department of Musicology at the University of Pavia-Cremona. She gained the “Luigi Agustoni Award” (CH) twice for her studies and performances on Gregorian chant and currently she is the director of the Schola Cantorum ‘Cantus Fugiens’ of Barcelona.
