Lola Peña Fernández

Lola Peña Fernández (Huelva, 2000) is a predoctoral researcher in the project “SOUNDSPACE: How Processions Moved: Sound and Space in the Performance of Urban Ritual, c.1400–c.1700·, associated with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
She holds a degree in History and Music Sciences from the University of Granada (2018-2022) and is currently a student in the Double Master's program in Secondary Education Teaching (University of Granada) and Musical Heritage (International University of Andalusia). Regarding the interpretative and practical facet, she holds a Professional Degree in violin from the Professional Conservatory of Music "Javier Perianes” (2018).
She had an internship in Orquesta Ciudad de Granada (2022), where she took charge of the protocol and communications department. She also prepared a serie of reports, data analysis and dossiers about the history of the orchestra, as well as gave support in concerts in terms of human resources, organization, and technology.
In 2023, she has participated in conferences and congresses including the II Young Congress of Urban Popular Musics and the XVII Congress of SIBE 2023, XII Congress of the IASPM-Spain and IV Congress of the ICTM Spain.
She has worked as an external collaborator at Tiempos Modernos (2023) and GRUPO CGM (2020-2022), where she was a participant of the Culture and Music section of Letra Global writing essays on music content and reviews of musical and historical works.
