Post-mortem inventory of Pere Pau Saragossa, doctor in law and prior of the Collegiate church in Fraga, in the see of Lleida, and a canon of Barcelona Cathedral. Document in poor state and unable to read location of his residence. Many books in his study ('En lo estudi de dtia casa lo qual trau portal cap de scala y finestra al carrer publich'), including the Bible, a work by Thomas à Kempis, the Constitutions of Catalunya, the Constitutions of Tarragona, and a large number of liturgical and service books, several breviaries, mainly from Rome, but also a processional from Barcelona, a missal and a pontifical (both Roman), and a diurnal. Of particular interest is 'a book of chant to go in procession' ('vn llibre... de cant per anar a professions'). A processional is sold to the vernerable Sagimon Campolla for 1ll 4s in the auction begun on Monday 19 July 1568, a Roman missal to Canon Brunet for 1ll 8s, and a Roman breviary to Orlandes Bornat for 16s. Some devotional retaules (Garden of Gethsemane, Virgin Mary) and a small copper bell 'on which is 'historiada...', but following words illegible. It is not clear whether the chant book was sold as the state of the document makes it impossible to ascertain many entries.
