Beatriu Prima alias Montesa was prioress of the Monastery de la Verge Maria dels Angels outside the walls of Barcelona; although she was a nun, she had papal dispensation to make a will. Her exectuors included Anna Ferrer, a nun at the monastery.
She wished to be buried in the tomb of the nuns in the church of the monastery, and she places the nun Anna Ferrer in charge of the pios acts she specifies. These include a Mass to be sung by the nuns on the feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary ('per salud de la anima mia vull y man sie celebrada en la festa de la verge maria del mes de Agost a la sglesia de dit Monastir vna missa cantada solennament y aquella celebrada que sie dad a les monges de dit Monastir la pictança acostumada'), and on the following day she wishes to found an anniversary for her soul, also in the accustomed way. She likewise founds a sung Mass on the feast of St Michael in September, and a said Mass on the feast of St Jerome ('Item en la festa de sanct Michel de setembre altra missa cantada en lo modo y forma predits y acostumats y en la festa del glorios sanct hieronym altra missa baixa en la forma acostumada').
