Hieronym Moxo was a royal notary, son of mossen Luys Joan Moxo, also a notary and head scribe of the Catalan government, and his wife Catherina, both deceased. His executors include his wife, Paula, his sister-in-law Yolany Llaval, Francesch Moxo droguer, and his uncle Matia Janer a silversmith, as well as Jaume Moragues, canon of the church of St Anne. He was a parishioner of Santa Maria del Pi, but he wished to be buried where his parents were buried in the church of the monastery of Montesion, before the Capella del Roser. His heir was his infant son Francesch. He wishes the weekly sung Mass, celebrated on Saturdays, founded by his father in that chapel to be maintained, and urges his heir (presumably his son's tutors) to ensure its continuity. It appears his father left 16d for the celebration of this Mass, but Hieronym makes it clear that if more needs to be paid to the priest for the sung Mass, then more shuld be found. He belonged to a number of confraternities: that of S. Pau, S. Sebastia, Nom de Jesus, and others. The will was published on Thursday 4 February 1577.
