The post-mortem inventory of Pere Basta, whose profession/status is not mentioned includes a number of books; most, in a cupboard in the study, including a Bible, 'ordinari and breviary', and in the room where he died ('En la cambra petita en la qual solie dormir y es mort lo dit deffunct') he has a missal ('Item vn missall de stampa garnit de posts cubert de cuyro blanch'). In the main room ('la cambra gran', among items of jewellery and gold and silver: 'Item vna corneta de argent ab vn cadaneta y siet cascavells'.
