The post-mortem inventory of the royal notary Lluis Serra was drawn up in his house on the Carrer de la Portaferrissa 'deuant la capella de Nostra Señora que ere de Montserrat' on 1 September 1612. In the study, he had some law books, and in the room overlooking the street, curtains, carpets, silver and jewellery as well as a considerable number of paintings. These were almost all devotional (Mary and Joseph in flight to Egypt, saints and Biblical figures) with the exception of 'la europa ab vn toro', and seven paintings comprising 'los cuatro son los elementos lo hu es lo conuit de mars e altra vna dansa de arlequins y altre ab venus y hector'.
