The post-mortem inventory of the priest and canon of Vich Cathedral, the reverend Hugo Montaner, was begun to be drawn up in the houses he owned on the Carrer dels Tallers 'deuant la capella de St Joan del ermita' and another house which he had bought on 27 April 1620, on 25 July 1621; it was completed on Friday 30 July 1621. In his will he had stated that his tapestries should go to the monastery of Nostra Senyora dels Angels, and some other items, silverware for example, were already kept there. He had some devotional paintings in the room of the carrer dels Tallers, and other paintings scattered through the house. A new tapestry was found in the 'recamara', but it was in his house in St Hipolyt de Montaner 'ahont dit defunct habitaua y feya sa propria residencia antes de obrir y parar las cases de sobre designades', that he had most of his possessions. These included, in the 'studi gran', devotional paintings, oil paintings of popes, and three large paintings of St Rafael, St Pere and Santa Magdalena 'que son los que dit defunct lego al monastir dels angels'. He owned a number of liturgical books: in the large study 'vn breuiari petit ab gassets de plata tot daurat', 'vnas hores daurades ab sa bossetaq de cuyro vermel', 'vn breuiari petit ab dos tomos de Iuern y estiu daurats', 'altres oretes petites totas daurades ab gassets de plata', 'dos saltires [sic] dotse registres de pregami illuminats de Roma', and 'vn breuiari comu ab la qual deia offici vsat'. In the restudi was a 'quadro de Santa Sicilia', and 'dos missals daurats tot nous', as well as 'catorse cascauellets de plata'. Other books, mainly theology and canon law, were found in a dedicated room in his house in St Hypolit Montaner: two copies of the 'concili tridentium', a 'Cataquismus romanus', a 'serimoniale missale ab tres o quatre tractats'; 'crides de diputat y virrey'; seven volumes of Luis de Granada and the 'mort de fray luis de granada'; the life of Santa Teresa, and other saints' lives; 'serimonies de la missa'; 'Rimas sacras de lope de vega'; 'art y reglas pera resar lo officio'; Marsilio Ficino; Celestina; life of Cardinal  Borromeo; classical authors including Cicero, Aula Gelius, Aristotle, as well as Erasmus, Aquinas and Titelmans.
