On 19 June 1568, a contract was signed between the rector, Pau Molet, and the community of priests of the parish church of Sta Maria del Pi and the confraternity dels Despemparats to be based in the church, in the chapel of Sts Bartholomew and Barbara. The document is a copy made in 1916, and  is incomplete, or at least the different clauses mentioned are not reproduced by the modern copyist. It does mention the annual procession that would be held by the confraternity: 'y per la professo de la festa de dita confraria y per selebratio de vna missa quiscun diumenge y per las quatra festes anyals y dos aniuersaris'. According to the terms of the contract, the prior of the confraternity had to pay 18ll, in two  parts, to the church, and the promens had to prepare annual accounts at the end of each year for the prior and for the head obrer of te church.
