He is hired to repair and tune the organ of the church of Sant Jaume of Barcelona. In the document is specified in detail all the tasks that Barthomeu have to do:

• He must tune the organ in the best way: "en bona fe promet a dits SNS obrers... que adobara y afinara dita orga del millor modo y manera...".
• He must repair the bellows and the pipes of the organ: "promet dits SNS obrers adobar las manxas dedita orga y tots los canons per hont passa Lo ayre y tota canyuteria del orga major y Cadireta...".
• He must clean and tune the pipes of the "orga major" and the "Cadireta": "ylimpiar lo orga major y Cadiretayflautas de aquellos tant dedins Com defora y en esser espolsdas ylimpiados ditas flautas orga  orga y Cadireta tornar los almateix puesto y adobarlas del millor modo y manera ques pugue servir....".
• In case that some of the pipes are broken or are unusable he have to do (and pay) new ones, and specify that the metal used must be of good quality: " i si per cas endita orga major y cadireta hi havia algunas flautas que no poguessin servir ? perser aquellas consumidas rompudas... Les promet fer novas à sos propis gastos... y aquellos promet fer de matall fi y no dolent ni mixturat oi falsificat...".
• He must tune the organ in the tuning of the singers and minstrels. For that, he has to enlarge the tubs or construct some new ones (and he has to pay all the material): "que abaxara dita orga alpunt natural detal maner que enaquell sepugue Cantar abtota La Cantoria, menestrils y demes musica y perdit effecte promet allargar los flautas seran necesarias ytambe ferlas que faltaran novas y sos lo demes que sera necessari peraque endita orga sepugue Cantar abtotala musica y Cantoria conforme desobreesta dit tot asos propris gastos...".

 He will receive 34 "doblos" of gold "effectuas en especie" for that.
