The string-maker Agosti Caldoni (corder) drew up his will on 25 August 1580; there is no date for the reading of the will. He was the son of the corder Andreu Caldoni, deceased, and Angelina, still living. His executors were mainly members of the family, including his wife and his three brothers: the venerable Andre Caldoni was a priest; Miquel and Bernat were also string-makers, as was Pau Daroca. He wished to be buried in the tomb where his father was buried in the cathedral cloisters: 'E vull que m sia feta de Capitol y sie dit los tres dies de la mia sepultura lo offici de la mare de deu ab so de orgue'. He left the considerable sum of 120ll to cover costs. He also wanted 12 trentenaris in different churches to be celebrated within a month of his death, and the Masses of St Augustine and St Nicolau Toletani at the privileged altars in the city.
